On Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, international volunteers Wojtek Juszkiewicz (European Solidarity Corps) and Paweł Sawicki (Bundesfreiwilligendienst) from pewobe gGmbH in Frankfurt (Oder) participated in an inspiring conference in Warsaw centered on youth engagement and volunteering.
The event connected attendees with influential figures, including Benjamin Sibille from Collectif pour un Service Civique Européen, Agnieszka Lisowska-Lewkowicz, President of SCW, and Marek Krawczyk, Deputy Minister for Civil Society.
The day opened with a panel discussion titled “How to Communicate with Generation Z?”. Organized by the group Important Matters, this session delved into strategies for engaging young audiences effectively. A short break followed, featuring a lively Bingo game for networking.
The second panel posed the intriguing question: “Can Volunteering Be Trendy?” Led by Mr. Piotr Wasyluk, it explored the advantages and challenges of promoting volunteering. Later, Mr. Szymon Knitter moderated the session “Civic Activities as an Opportunity for Success,” with speakers Martyna Kownacka and Olga Napiontek highlighting the transformative power of civic participation.
The conference concluded with presentations by the PROJECTOR Program and ECS Solidarity Projects, showcasing innovative ways for students to engage in volunteering initiatives.
This impactful event served as a platform for exchanging ideas, inspiring civic engagement, and making volunteering a meaningful and dynamic experience for the next generation.
