Day 1 (21.07.2024)
The official opening of the 25th Summer Camp took place today. We all listened to speeches from important people and sang our national anthems while the flags were raised. Afterwards, we shared our four best memories with other participants. Then, we showcased our painting skills by decorating pots and planting seeds. Later, we had some fun playing bowling.
Today was an exciting and productive day for the volunteers! 🌸☀️ The work schedule started with everyone putting on their ‘team’ t-shirts and getting ready for the opening ceremony. Two members of our team, Paula G. and Julie, participated in the presentation and spoke successfully among the project’s key figures. 👩💼🧑💼👨💼 Later, in the workshops, we engaged in and assisted with a reflection activity filled with creativity and imagination, laying the groundwork for deeper conversations among participants about their past and wishes. 🤲🫂 For most of us, the day ended after our daily meeting with our supervisor and planning the next day’s activities. Sasha and Kacper continued with the night shift. 🌙✨
