The Youth Conference at Frankfurt (Oder) Town Hall on 21 November 2025

On Friday, 21 November 2025, pewobe g GmbH held its first youth conference in Frankfurt (Oder) at the Frankfurt (Oder) Town Hall. The event began at 9:30 AM with a warm welcome prepared for all participants.

At 10:00 AM, the volunteer Oskar (Germany) and the member of the Kompetenzteam, Alicja (Poland), gave a speech about the youth participation. After that, two psychology professors from Wroclaw took over and led a workshop titled “My Place on the Map – Identity in a World Without Borders.” They started with a brainstorming session on identity and how teenagers can participate in society. In the second part of the workshop, the participants answered questions on post-its to show how similar and connected their perspectives were.

Afterwards, there was a brainstorming session led by Marcela Jasinska, Head of the Competence Team, and Manuela Demel, Head of the International Work and Projects Department. They started with an energizer, where participants moved around the room to music, and whenever the music stopped, they had to connect with the people around them and answer questions. The participants were then divided into interest groups that were important for the upcoming workshop in small groups.

During the break, volunteers and employees of pewobe g GmbH prepared the market of opportunities. Here, local and international activities related to the competence team, the pewobe project ‘Wildewasser’ and the partner organisation Part!Bus of the sponsor Flexible Jugendarbeit from Frankfurt (Oder) were presented. During the break, participants could also admire a photo gallery while getting to know each other better over pizza.

After lunch, everyone gathered again in the Słubice room, where they were divided into groups for the workshop “Circles of United Voices.” Each group received two moderators who facilitated the workshop. The participants worked on different project ideas, such as a youth centre, a volleyball club, a creative workshop, a city festival, etc.

They brainstormed, planned, discussed possible challenges, considered a budget, and developed ways to bring their ideas to life. At the end, they had to give a speech and present their project in front of four jury members. The experienced jury provided feedback and recommendations for further successful project implementation.

The Conference was concluded with a closing speech by Filip (Poland) and Sara (Germany). We consider the first youth conference organised by pewobe g GmbH to be a positive experience and look forward to the next inclusive event, where young people from Frankfurt (Oder) and Słubice will have the opportunity to express themselves and be heard.
